I love living alone, I have so much space and keep everything tidy, I don't have to deal with other people's mess, smelly foods, waking me up, none of it. Similarly I can come home in the middle of the night a bit worse for wear and I don't have to tip-toe or answer to anyone!
The downside? The cost! If I had a flatmate most of it would be halved, but it's really pricey on your own!
Rent, council tax, electricity, gas, tv license. They're the basics. Then most of us have internet (with phone and line rental), mobile phone bill, insurance. If you have a car as well you must have to be earning bucketloads as a private investment banker at Rowan Dartington or something! I don't understand how I can have a life and live on my own without working three jobs!
