There are certain things at the moment that seemed to be despised by everyone. Traffic Wardens, Investment Bankers and genetically modified foods. But I really don't see what all the fuss is about.

Yes if you cover vegetables in pesticides it may be harmful for us. But genetically engineering crops so that they are the most cost effective is only another form of germination is it not? Selecting the seeds from the best plants and putting them together to form a crop of super plant. Or maybe I am misunderstanding the entire theory. I don't agree with GM babies for example. I think messing with the human condition and designing your own baby before birth is a bit too far. But a plant? Come on. What harm can it do?
Still I can see this argument is going to mark me as popular as a Rowan Dartington employee handing out parking tickets on the side. I just think people are a little to quick to condemn something that maybe isn't doing any harm at all.
